Fill the Gap!

A Community Effort to Keep Every Table Full

With the impending federal funding for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) participants pausing, it is leaving a serious gap for families right here at home. In Allegany, Washington, and Garrett Counties, over 40,000 households depend on SNAP benefits to help put food on their tables. For many, these funds are the difference between healthy meals and going without.

The loss of this vital support means more parents will struggle to feed their children, more seniors will face tough choices between groceries and medicine, and more working families will fall through the cracks.

That’s why the Appalachian Farm & Food Alliance has launched Allegany Neighbors, Garrett Neighbors, and Washington Neighbors: Fill the Gap — a local response to a local need. Together, we can make sure no one in our region goes hungry. Every dollar raised will go directly toward providing food to the households most affected by these cuts.

This is a moment for neighbors to take care of neighbors — the way we always have in the mountains. Your support will help fill the shelves, the plates, and the hearts of families across our region.

💚 Give today. Share the campaign. Help us Fill the Gap — because no neighbor should ever go hungry.
